- During filming, Georgie Henley (Lucy) lost two baby teeth. A bridge had to be created to fill in the gaps.
- Ben Barnes had to wear hair extensions during filming because his hair was still styled short for his performance as Dakin in the stage play The History Boys.
- Ben Barnes shaved twice a day to maintain a younger appearance for the film
- Ben Barnes patterned his Spanish accent on Mandy Patinkin's performance as Inigo Montoya in _The Princess Bride (1987)_.
- According to Skandar Keynes, for one shot where he had to slide off a roof he had a $500,000 camera strapped to his legs, as they couldn't get any stunt men the same size as Skandar to shoot the shot.

- Director Andrew Adamson added a grand scale Castle Raid action scene to the film which is not in the book, to make the film more epic and action oriented. Although there is a brief reference to Castle Raid by Mouse Reepicheep in the book.
- The code name for this film was "Toastie". This is a reference to the toasted sandwiches which were a favorite snack of the cast and crew during filming of this film and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).
- Although the black dwarf who was the witch's right-hand man is not named in the book of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), the producers of that film gave him the name Ginaarbrik, to imply that he is a relative of Nikabrik in this film. Nikabrik's costume includes a ring that was previously worn by Ginaarbrik.

- SPOILER: During the storming of Miraz's castle, Reepicheep and the mice find the royal cat asleep. They tie him up in the same way that Aslan was tied in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). The mice gnawed through the ropes that were used to bind Aslan in that story, and according to the books, Aslan granted their people the power of speech in honor of their devotion on that occasion.
