Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

Their is a constant love triangle. Their is one scene in which a couple have just had sex (not seen but implied).

Violence & Gore

A man has a bomb implanted in him, off-screen but we see the bomb in his stomach. A man has a pencil impale him in the head, no blood but he is slammed on the desk where the pencil was. A woman is blown up. A man catches on fire. (He lives, but half of his body and face is burned off.) Two-Face can be found extremely disturbing or extremely awesome depending on your personality. Many men are shot off-screen and on but no blood. A man's mouth is cut open off screen, no screaming just a bystander's disturbed facial expression while watching. Many explosions and gun fights. A man is threatened with a knife(he lives) A wife and son are held at gun point. The joker has many cuts on his face. The joker attacks batman many times. The joker is shot by spike projectiles shot by batman. Batman is shot but lives. Many people are beaten up but not killed. 6 police officers are killed by the joker off screen and on in a no blood fashion. A man's dead corpse hits a window very suddenly and we see his face has been carved and has make up on it(clown make-up) A man is shot in the leg(he lives) A man is at gun point but punches the shooter before he shoots. A man is attacked by dogs. A man stitches his dog bites(on screen) A very intense and dark movie.

Profanity

Consists of shi- dam- hel- go-dam-, many uses of the Lord's name in vain, as- son of a bitc- shi-. The language isn't that consistent.

Some characters smoke, one literally, and a little alcohol.

The scene in which Harvey Dent (Two-Face) threatens Gordon's family is very dark and intense. A scene in which an evacuated hospital blows up may be intense. A scene with two boats having remotes to the other ships detonator is a little intense. The whole film is intense starting at the start to the 2 1/2 hours mark. It's quite a dark film not recommended for children under eleven maybe even twelve depending on their vulnerability.
