I really love First Look Studios because they continuously put out good quality lower budget fare and Meet Bill is no exception to this. Its stand out cast includes Aaron Eckhardt who is the one who should get the Oscar Nod for Dark Knight, Elizabeth Banks who surprises me with her uber hotness and Jessica Alba who for the first time ever proves she is not just a talking set of breasts and can actually act. The premise of this fantastic quirky comedy goes as follows; Bill (Aaron Eckhart) - a doormat if ever there was one. A man reduced to a mere accessory to his family by working a dead ...

Despite being a female with only one substantial acting credit to her name (the hot chick in Michael Bay's ode to Hasbro Toys, "Transformers"), Megan Fox was honored Tuesday night as one of GQ Magazine's 2008 picks for "Men of the Year."The 22 year-old self-confessed bi-sexual, who has seven tattoos, a criminal record and (shockingly) the love of former "90210" star Brian Austin Green, was honored alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Aaron Eckhart and Jason Statham at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont Hotel.Reported by (very appropriately) Fox News, according to Fox, Fox seemed as "lovey-dovey as ever" with 35 ye ...

Angelina Jolie would make a "fantastic" Catwoman, says Aaron Eckhart. The "Dark Knight" actor was delighted to hear Angelina is being lined up to play the feline villain and thinks a new Batman movie would be a box office smash if she lands the starring role.
Aaron said: "I thought that was a fantastic idea. When I read that, I felt like all of our records that we made would be broken if she did Catwoman."
The actor added he was equally as excited about rumors Johnny Depp may take the part of the Riddler, but joked to Us Weekly magazine: "Every time I hear these guys mentioned, I feel worse about myself!"
Veteran actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the "Batman" TV series from 1966 to 1968, has previously claimed Angelina would be the perfect choice to play the iconic role.

And he's also very slim and lean." And which other actor surprised us by fawning over Obama's sexiness? Read on to find out... Aaron Eckhart, that's who! Aaron Eckhart has been signed to play the lead in Battle: Los Angeles, a science-fiction action flick to be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (whose biggest project is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning).
The plot of this film revolves around a platoon of marines (commanded by Eckhart) fighting aliens in the middle of Los Angeles…
Awesome!
I’m sold on just the plot alone - adding Eckhart to the mix makes it that much better.
Eckhart is coming off a huge role in The Dark Knight which has grossed only about a billion dollars worldwide… and now he’s expected to take on high-profile A-list roles.
Apparently the script for Battle: La didn’t get very high praise so some wonder why he took on this role. I however, do not. While the director certainly doesn’t have an impressive resume, I’m not going to hold that against him

Two out of GQ's four cover boy Men of the Year came out to celebrate at the Chateau Marmont in La last night. Jon Hamm and Leonardo DiCaprio both lived up to their steamy covers while Michael Phelps and Barack Obama (surprise) couldn't make it to the red carpet. Obsession of the year Megan Fox looked hot in pink and kept her boyfriend Brian Austin Green close for photos. Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel still don't want to define their relationship, but things seem very on again for this duo. January Jones looked glamorous as ever posing without her on-screen Mad Men husband Don Draper, but if the second season of the show taught us anything it's that Betty is just fine by herself. The party may have been about the men of the year, but the women held their own before heading in for a night of fun. To

Aaron Eckhart moves up from district attorney and supporting player to platoon leader and star of the original Sf tale, Battle: Los Angeles.
Columbia Pictures optioned Chris Bertolini (The General’s Daughter)’s screenplay back in April. The story spotlights a Marine platoon’s attempts to repel invaders from the stars. “I love the idea, and I love the script. I like it all,” Producer Neal Moritz of Original Films told The Hollywood Reporter. “We are going to be in production within six months. What’s attractive to me is that it’s a huge event movie that can be done at a modest scale.”
Production is gaining momentum with shooting eyed for early next year and a 2010 release date. No other casting has been announced.
Eckhart has appeared in The Dark Knight, of course, but also gained notice for his work in In the Company of Men and Thank You for Smoking.

Aaron Eckhart for Battle: Los Angeles
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman off a script by Chris Bertolini, Battle: Los Angeles revolves around a Marine platoon's encounter in the battle on the streets of Los Angeles against an alien invasion. Eckhart has been cast to play the platoon leader.
Yes, I know the plot could go either way -- badass or retarded -- but having Aaron Eckhart in the lead role definitely boosts confidence.

You know, you would think that after starring in one of the biggest movies of all time, Aaron Eckhart might want to take a break from the world of big-budgeted action movies. Then again, he probably knows better than anyone that sometimes those small indie films can really get you into trouble. So, in the spirit of 'safe bets', The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Eckhart will star in the sci-fi action flick, Battle: Los Angeles.
Chris Bertolini's (The General's Daughter) script centers on an alien invasion that has landed in the streets of La. Eckhart would play the leader of a platoon of Marines who are the last line of defense in the invasion. Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) has already signed to direct the film for Columbia Pictures, although a start date for the production has yet to be finalized.

Aaron Eckhart moves back from villain to hero in "Battle: Los Angeles," a science-fiction thriller directed by Jonathan Liebesman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Written by Chris Bertolini, the plot centers on a Marine platoon’s battle against alien invaders in Los Angeles. The trade says Eckhart will stars as the platoon leader.
Not much else is known about the project at this stage. Liebesman’s directing credits also include the catastrophic “Darkness Falls” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.”
Eckhart was last seen as Two-Face in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight." Other roles include "No Reservations" and "Thank You For Smoking."
The actor has some previous experience starring as a lead in an action flick: in 2003, he lead a crew down to the core of the Earth in "The Core."

Aaron Eckhart has officially joined Battle: Los Angeles as the lead. The project is being directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and was written by Chris Bertolini (The General's Daughter). The story in Battle: Los Angeles follows a Marine platoon's encounter in the battle on the streets of Los Angeles against an alien invasion. This marks the first big lead role in an action movie for Eckhart, who as we all know did a phenomenal job as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight earlier this summer. The project sounds interesting but apparently has an awful script. Will Eckhart be able to save it? Battle: Los Angeles is being developed at Columbia Pictures / Sony Pictures with Neal H. Moritz (I Am Legend) producing, but doesn't officially have a start date yet. I hope they're hiring some talented screenwriters to come in and clean up Bertolini's script, because I've

"The Dark Knight" star Aaron Eckhart has been tapped to battle aliens in L.A. in a new sci-fi action flick, "Battle: Los Angeles."
The 40-year-old actor, who played villain Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the smash 2008 Batman film, will be playing the leader of a platoon in combat against invading aliens.
Jonathan Liebesman will be directing for Columbia, while Neal Moritz and his Original Film company are producing, as per the Hollywood Reporter.
The new project puts Eckhart on the lead role on an action movie for the first time. He had been involved in less mainstream films, including 1997's "In The Company of Men," in which he won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance and the Satellite Award for Outstanding New Talent.
